The richardbeliveau.org Website: A Matter of Conviction
Convinced of the need to step up research on cancer prevention, Michel Plante and a group of professionals from all walks of life joined with Richard Béliveau in December 2008 and created the richardbeliveau.org website on a volunteer basis in order to assist him in pursuing his work with the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Chair at UQAM. Several organizations and partners, including the UQAM Foundation, the Journal de Montréal and Nautilus Plus, also took part in creating the website.
The goals of the website are to:
1) keep the scientific community up to date on the nature of the research conducted by Richard Béliveau and his team;
2) inform and educate the public at large on how to adopt healthy lifestyle habits that may help in the fight against cancer;
3) make it possible to donate to the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Chair in support of Richard Béliveau and his team's research work.
