Conference on cancer prevention

As part of the 30-minute workout to help out the Fund event, Richard Béliveau, scientific director of the UQAM Chair for the treatment and prevention of cancer will be at the Place Montreal Trust club on Monday November 19 from 17:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m.

He will take part of the event by doing 30-minute of cardiovascular activity and after will be giving a conference on cancer prevention, a subject he specializes in. Following the conference, there will be a question period.
Dr Béliveau will touch on the following subjects :
- How simple lifestyles changes can significantly reduce the incidence of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, and Alzheimer, as well as cardiovascular diseases.
- Obesity has become the major cause of death by cancer in North America. The fight against excess weight is therefore of critical importance.
- Physical activity and nutrition are at the center of the fight against obesity and initiating daily lifestyle changes is vital.
Registration is required to assist to the conference as the places are limited!
